Canberra is the Capital City of Australia. That is not the biggest City in Australia. The two largest cities in Australia is Sydney and Melbourne. 

During the Federation, Sydney and Melbourne wanted to be the Capital City of Australia. At that time, both cities are critical in Australia. Finally, they agreed to pick a city between Sydney and Melbourne to be the Capital City. So, Canberra, where is 280km from Sydney and 660KM from Melbourne, built to be the Capital City. 

This City is well planned. The main Axis is the Parliament House and War Memorial.  Other buildings are constructed along this axis. In additional,  the most people in this City are federal government workers.  The whole city is full of head offices of federal agencies, not many other businesses. 

That is an interesting town.
